Christmas Eve is almost here and it’s time for me to start packing up the sleigh and getting the reindeer ready for an evening of delivering presents all over the world. As you can imagine, I’m visiting a lot of homes all over the world and it can be difficult keeping everyone straight—who’s naughty, who’s nice, and who wants a Jedi lightsaber for Christmas. Thank goodness I have a few tools to help keep me organized. The same tools that help me can help you too. Here’s my early Christmas gift to you—a list of tools to help you with your digital marketing tasks.

Hootsuite

If you’re like me, you have lots of social media channels to help you keep track of what your customers are saying about you. Running those accounts is time-consuming, so I use Hootsuite to help me operate social profiles, manage social networks, and schedule messages ahead of time. Using the bulk scheduling option means I don’t have to log on every time I want to post something—I can send out a tweet from my account even when I’m flying around the world delivering presents. (Bonus: here’s a great guide on using Hootsuite!)

Curata

Have a blog but find it difficult to come up with new topics? There are only so many times you can write posts like “Encouraging Reindeer Teambuilding” and “10 Tips to Move You from the Naughty to the Nice List.” Curata helps you identify content online and develop topics that are relevant to your audience. So you won’t spend all your time thinking of new ways to write about the best cookie-to-milk ratio.

Buzzsumo

Need help promoting your content? Or having difficulty determining what content most engages your audience? Not everyone has as many social media followers as Santa Claus. Buzzsumo lets you look up different topics and determine what content has fared the best, what’s trending now, and who the top influencers are. All this helps get more eyes on your blog, which gets you more visitors to your website.

Connectivity

You should see the number of emails I get every year. Connectivity allows you to stay in touch with customers, see when they interact with you and form deep connections with them. It also keeps track of your online reputation, so you know who’s saying what about you and you can respond with a “Ho Ho Ho” if necessary.

Canva

Any digital marketing campaign has to look good, and that means using graphics. Canva has millions of images, and provides filters, fonts, and icons to help you create a professional design that complements your digital marketing. It’s easy to use, so you don’t have to be an award-winning designer to create beautiful images.

Marketing your business shouldn’t make you as sleep deprived as a child the night before Christmas. The tools mentioned here can make your digital marketing easier and less stressful. And now that you’ve got your marketing tools, here are some tips on setting up your digital marketing strategy. Because digital marketing—like delivering presents on Christmas Eve—requires solid planning.
